The Everest region is renowned for its brilliant landscapes and thrilling trek experiences of the mesmerizing Himalayas unequaled to any mountainous area in the world. Selected as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 1979, Everest region, also known as the ‘Khumbhu’, is secluded as Sagarmatha National Park by the government of Nepal. The park is peaceful with robust landscapes consisting of deep gorges, glaciers and gigantic rocks. A huge variety of wildlife such as Red panda, snow leopard, Himalayan Thar and many others are found in this park in an area of 1148 sq km. Many birds like Impeyan Pheasant and blooming colourful rhododendrons are found hereabouts.

The earlier route for the trek began from Jiri but today mostly trekkers favor taking a flight to Lukla at 2850m where the trek begins. The view of the snow peaks in our surrounding while walking up from Lukla is eye-catching. The trail is spotted by Buddhist Mani stones, colorful prayer flags and the stupas representing the mind of Buddha. The mesmerizing waterfalls on the trails are supported by the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. Gradually walking up, we reach the lively happening Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, to the most honored Tengboche Monastery, the soothing Gokyo Lake, alluring Everest base camp and many other incredible sites in the Everest region as we share the trails with yak trains and other friendly trekkers from across the planet.

The finest time to trek in the Everest region is from March to June and September to December. The region has small cosy lodges to ensuite resorts all over the region for our comfort and needs.
