Chisapani Nagarkot hike around Kathmandu is good for people who have a short time in Nepal and still want to do some hiking activities for a little stretch up. The trails are combination of all kinds of terrain from steep up to easy gradual inclination. However, it’s also a trek to challenge you for long-distance hiking, as the day 2nd is to walk 32 km. during the walk, you will have to pass through several small villages and sometimes even cross over what looks like large towns.
take a drive from Kathmandu to Sundari Jal it will take about an hour from central Kathmandu (Thamel) and the walk begins…..the trail begins

head down for about 45 min to reach chisapani….a small village facing north towards the Himalaya of the ridge.

Throughout the trail, you can see the mountains and valley on the north. The trail also passes through a few different villages and town so a good opportunity to observe local village life from distance. There’s 45 min climb to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a beautiful hill station well known among people for its best sunrise and panoramic Himalayan view. You can expect to see Everest when there super clean weather.
Today the trail is mostly downhill…the trails are through many small villages and farmlands overlooking down the valley. One of the climbs is through beautiful pine forest, upon crossing this, you can see Changunarayan, a place named after one of the oldest temples in the country, dated back to 5th century, also a great place to see the valley. You will be picked up and drive to an ancient square of Bhaktapur where you will do guided tours. we will drive you back to your hotel.
